Visteon Recognizes 28 Global Suppliers for Overall Excellence

SHANGHAI, China, April 23, 2007 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading automotive supplier Visteon Corporation (NYSE:VC) recently named Fujikoki America, Inc. "Global Visteon Important Partner 2006" at an awards ceremony in Shanghai, China. The annual Visteon Important Partner (VIP) ceremony was held for the first time in China and recognized 28 outstanding Visteon suppliers around the world.

"Our suppliers are absolutely critical to Visteon's success in delivering high-quality, cost-competitive, and leading-edge products to vehicle manufacturers," said Jonathan K. Maples, vice president, global purchasing. "Our industry is highly competitive, and a reliable and value-based supply chain can be a key competitive advantage as we drive toward sustained success in the marketplace."
The annual supplier award program, now in its fifth year, recognizes outstanding performers within Visteon's global supply base. The selection criteria focus on supplier performance in the areas of quality, delivery, cost, productivity, technical capability, innovation and new programs launch support. Awards are across Visteon's three main product groups, climate, interiors, and electronics, including lighting, as well as the non-production group in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and South America. The awards also acknowledge suppliers that have shown significant improvements from the previous year.

The recipient of this year's Global VIP Award, Fujikoki America, Inc., is a division of Japan based Fujikoki Corporation, a global partner to Visteon for the supply of thermal expansion valves. "Fujikoki is recognized as the best of the best and it truly performed beyond expectations," Maples said. "Fujikoki has been committed to adding value, helping us to meet our customer quality requirements over the past three years. This award directly reflects Fujikoki's hard work in timely delivery, outstanding quality, competitive cost, and innovative products. Our partnership with Fujikoki is a model for our supplier relationships."
